Here’s a list of what’s open and what’s closed on Thanksgiving weekend.
All civic offices are closed on Monday, Oct. 14.
Recycling/Garbage Collection Schedule: Single-family homes - Recycling and garbage will be collected on the Thanksgiving holiday Monday for those residents with Monday as their new weekly automated cart collection day. To find out your recycling, garbage and yard waste collection days:

Multi-family apartments: Recycling and garbage collection will continue as normally scheduled.
Brady Road Landfill: Brady Road Resource Management Facility (Brady Road Landfill): Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Monday, 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Winnipeg Transit: Winnipeg Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule.
Libraries: All libraries are closed Monday.
Assiniboine Park Zoo: Open 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Leisure centres: All leisure centres are closed Monday, except Turtle Island Neighbourhood Centre (510 King St.), open 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Magnus Eliason Recreation Centre (430 Langside St.), open 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Animal Services agency: Closed Monday.
Golf courses: Harbour View, John Blumberg, Kildonan Park and Windsor Park Golf Courses will be open throughout the Thanksgiving long weekend including Monday, October 14.
Crescent Drive Golf Course is closed for the season.
Manitoba Public Insurance: Closed Sunday and Monday.
Manitoba Liquor Marts: Garden City, River & Osborne, Main & Pritchard, Fort Garry, St. Vital Square, Portage & Burnell, Charleswood, Northdale, Fort Richmond, Southdale, Eastwinds, Crestview, and Madison Square locations are all open Monday, noon to 6:00 p.m.
