A 44-year-old man from Winkler was pronounced dead at the scene of a two-vehicle collision that happened Wednesday evening.
Around 8:15 p.m., Morden RCMP responded to the collision on Highway 23, approximately two kilometres east of Roland, Manitoba.
RCMP said a semi, with its hazard lights on, was parked on the north side of the highway.
A car travelling westbound, hit the semi and veered into the south ditch, said RCMP.
The 40-year-old driver of the semi managed to get the 44-year-old lone occupant of the car out of the vehicle, but he did not survive.
RCMP said the 40-year-old semi driver from Steinbach was not injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
