5 products seized from Keebo Sports Supplements may pose health risks

A number of products that may cause serious health risks are being seized from Keebo Sports Supplements Winnipeg.

Health Canada said in a release Friday, the supplement store was carrying five unauthorized products promoted as workout or weight loss supplements.

The products pulled include: Yohimbine, Diesel Fuel Stim, Amp-Stim, HydroxyElite, and Andro Quad.

Health Canada said there are a number of drugs within the supplements that are not authorized in Canada, and could cause serious side effects.

“I have hundreds of products here in store, and I've always done my due diligence on where I order from, and ensured all my suppliers are Canadian. I'm trusting my distributors are doing their due diligence to ensure they are following Canadian laws,” said Susan Cruz, the owner of Keebo Sports Supplements 1504 St. Mary’s Road. “Unfortunately, four products did not meet regulations, and will no longer be sold at Keebo. Keebo will no longer be working with this distributor.”
