A man is dead after the pick up truck he was in collided with a train early Sunday morning.

Around 2:30 a.m. RCMP officers and emergency services rushed to a railway crossing just south of Highway 15 near Anola.

There they found a pick up truck carrying three people – two men and a woman – had collided with a CN freight train.

The male driver and female passenger were rushed to hospital with undetermined injuries, RCMP said. The third person in the car was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, RCMP said.

RCMP will not be releasing the name of the man killed in the crash.
