A judge dismissed a bail review application made by a Winnipeg mother accused of abducting her own children.

Sandra Giesbrecht, 44, will remain in custody.

Giesbrecht was initially denied bail on August 10th.

She was arrested on June 24th, when she was found by police with her 11-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son, who she wasn't supposed to be with.

Giesbrecht was in the courtroom and was visibly emotional at times. Some of her family members were also in attendance.

Specific details of the hearing cannot be disclosed under a court-ordered publication ban.
