Police have arrested a 15-year-old male after a woman was robbed and her car stolen after pulling into a parking spot in the 300 block of Kennedy St. on Saturday.

Police said the woman had just pulled into her parking spot and had exited her car at around 6:40 p.m.

She was then confronted by a man holding a black pistol-style pellet gun.

The man pointed the gun at her and demanded the keys to her car. She complied and immediately ran for safety. She was not injured.

The man then fled in the victim’s vehicle, which still contained her purse, cash, and jewelry.

At around 11:00 p.m. that night, police observed the stolen car in the area of Headingley. They created a traffic stop, and the man and three passengers were taken into custody.

The 15-year-old suspect has been charged with robbery using a firearm, pointing a firearm, and possessing stolen property over $5,000.

He has been detained.
