B.C. musician writes song for murdered teen

A British Columbia man has written a song for Tina Fontaine.

Musician Johnny Maudlin posted the song, “Tina’s Walking (In a World of Hurt),” on YouTube.

Online, Maudlin says he wrote the song focusing on Tina and her story

On his Facebook page, he wrote, "I won't lie or pretend to be activist around First Nation's issues or even women's issues. I think we need to take responsibility in a very personal way. That kid never had a chance."

After Tina Fontaine's funeral yesterday, people brought flowers and mementos to the site of her final resting place in the same place where her father was buried. Fontaine's body will be cremated and her ashes spread over his grave.
