Health Canada issued a recall for a brand of baby carriers after receiving reports the straps can loosen unexpectedly and pose a fall hazard.

The recall affects Chimparoo TREK and Chimparoo MULTI 2.0 soft infant carriers. The recalled products were manufactured between May 1 and July 22, 2016, and have the model numbers CS014, CS005 and CS006.

Health Canada has not received any reports of injuries related to the products. L'écharpe Porte-bonheur Inc., which makes the carriers, received one report of an incident where a shoulder strap that loosened unexpectedly.

Approximately 1,036 were sold in Canada between May and September. Anyone who bought one should stop using it immediately and call the company for a free product inspection to see if it has the recalled buckles.

If it does, customers should contact the company to receive replacement buckles, Health Canada said.
