Winnipeg police closed a restaurant at 3770 Portage Ave. after the establishment received a bomb threat. The threat has since been unfounded and the investigation is closed, said police.

Around 6 p.m. on Monday, Chicken Chef, a family style restaurant, received the bomb threat, according to owner Lori Lucas.

She said her staff was forced to clear out the restaurant during the dinner rush.

Lucas said the threats had something to do with a post the restaurant made on its Facebook page.

She tells CTV News that police have advised her not to give out any further information due to the seriousness of the incident.
