More than 100 Sobeys employees will soon be looking for new jobs.
Workers at the Burrows Avenue location were told Tuesday the store is shutting down Dec. 3.
A spokesperson for Sobeys told CTV News closing the doors at this location wasn't an easy decision.
However, they said the store had been underperforming for some time and closing it made the most sense.
Meanwhile, Sobeys said it will be working closely with the union at the grocery store going forward.
It does not anticipate that any of the employees will be bumping into other stores.
