WINNIPEG TRANSIT:
Special Canada Day service includes:
• A FREE Canada Day Shuttle service will be operating from 12:00 p.m. noon until 12:00 a.m. midnight linking Downtown, The Forks and Osborne Village.

• Extra Route 11 Portage buses will be operating between The Forks and Assiniboine Park from 12:00 p.m. noon until 11:00 p.m. Regular transit fares apply.

Post-Fireworks departures:
• The Forks: buses will be available on Main Street between York Avenue and Wesley Avenue.

• Assiniboine Park to Downtown: buses will be available at eastbound Portage Avenue at Overdale Street.

• Assiniboine Park to St. James/Assiniboia areas: buses will be available at westbound Portage Avenue at Overdale Street.

ANIMAL SERVICES AGENCY:
The Animal Services Agency will be closed on Friday, July 1.

MANITOBA LIQUOR MARTS:
Thursday, June 30, 2016: Most Liquor Marts in Winnipeg will open at 9:00 a.m. and close at 11:00 p.m., with the exception of the following stores which will close earlier: Hargrave and Ellice, Main and Pritchard, cityplace, and all Liquor Mart Express locations. Store hours can be viewed online.

Canada Day, Friday, July 1, 2016: All Liquor Marts in Winnipeg will open at 10:00 a.m. and close at 6:00 p.m. with the exception of cityplace, which will be closed. Liquor Mart Express stores will be closed with the exception of the Airport and Park West Express locations, which will open at 10:00 a.m. and close at 6:00 p.m.

Saturday, July 2, 2016: Regular operating hours will return to all Liquor Marts. Operating hours for rural Liquor Marts vary by location. To view each store’s full operating hours. Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries offices will be closed on Canada Day, Friday, July 1.

CANADA DAY IN CENTRAL PARK
11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Join the Central Park Neighbourhood Association for music, dance, games, food and family fun in Central Park, 400 Cumberland Avenue, with appearances by Mayor Brian Bowman and Winnipeg Centre MP Robert-Falcon Oullette.

CANADA DAY AT THE ST. NORBERT FARMERS’ MARKET
3 p.m. – Dusk
Market vendors will be open for business, while kids can play in the Splashpad, and starting at 4 p.m., there will be free face painting and animal balloons, a bouncy castle, and performances from hoopdancer Jackson Beardy III and the Metis Infinity Square Dancers, followed by Canada Day cake and ceremonies at 6:00. The evening continues with performances from Dan Frechette and Friends and Slow Leaves, before fireworks at dusk.

OSBORNE VILLAGE STREET FESTIVAL & CANADA CELEBRATION

With something for everyone, Winnipeg’s largest street festival takes place over three days in 2016. This year’s fest features market and food vendors, live music and cultural performances, patios, fashion shows, a dog show, and for the kids, the Skyzone Family Area includes a large petting zoo, pony rides, inflatable bouncers, a giant Pirate Ship slide, children’s entertainers, giant hamster ball obstacle course, face painting and more.
