Canada Post responsible for snow clearing around mailboxes: city

A city report confirms Canada Post is responsible for clearing snow around community mailboxes.

Councillors Ross Eadie and Devi Sharma had asked the city’s administration to clarify the issue.

The report said Canada Post must make its mailboxes accessible including clearing windrows.

It also said if a mailbox is located where no sidewalk exists, the crown corporation must install a ramp from the street so people can get their mail.
