Winnipeg fire crews worked quickly to extinguish a potentially explosive car fire near Osborne Village Wednesday night.
Just before 10 p.m. firefighters rushed to the 500 block of McMillan Avenue and found a car on fire.
The car was parked in a residential parking lot, next to an apartment building’s entrance.
Officials cleared the scene to make sure there were no fluids leaking from the car.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze, and fire officials pegged the damage at about $7,000.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
