The Children’s Hospital Book Market broke a record over the weekend with raising the largest amount of money in 56 years.

This year the book market raised $170,000, up $56,000 from last year’s record.

The Children’s Hospital Book Market supports programs that aim to help sick children and their families, including an on-site lending library, the Children’s Hospital commercial-free TV station and the family resource library.

The next Children’s Hospital Book Market is taking place April 26 to 30, 2016 at St. Vital Centre.
