The city is warning drivers to move their vehicles off the street Tuesday, as a residential parking ban takes effect at 7 a.m.

Parking bans will apply to snow zones across the city in 12 hour shifts for three days, according to the city. Some zones will have parking bans form 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and others will have bans from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

The city is beginning with residents in zones E, F, H, K, P, S and U on Tuesday morning. To find out what snow zone you are in, you can visit knowyourzone.winnipeg.ca or contact 311.

Anyone violating the ban will be ticketed $150 and could be towed to a nearby street.

The ban is in addition to the declared snow route ban instituted overnight Sunday.

The public works department extended the annual snow route ban to be in effect from midnight to 7 a.m.

City officials also reminded motorists to use caution when driving near plowing or sanding equipment.
