Winnipeg's Windsor Park community joined together Sunday to help a four-year-old girl with cancer.
Families gathered for a fundraiser at Winakwa Community Centre featuring old-timey games and face painting.
The event raised money for Mikayla Geller, who’s fighting a cancer called neuroblastoma that affects the nervous system.
This past fall, Geller received many letters from Winnipeggers to help her get through her stay in hospital.
"She's been through 30 rounds of chemo, 20 rounds of radiation and she has immunotherapy coming up, which is six months long. It's going to be a long road for that," said Ben Geller, Mikayla’s father.
The family said the response from the community has been amazing and thanks everyone for their support.
