Mexican Hot Chocolate

1 cup prepared hot chocolate mix

½ teaspoon cinnamon

½ teaspoon nutmeg

pinch of cayenne

whipping cream

cinnamon sticks

Add cinnamon, nutmeg and cayenne into hot chocolate mix. Prepare according to package directions. Use milk instead of water for a creamier drink. Top with whipped cream and a cinnamon stick.

 

Smokehouse Chili

½ pound ground pork, browned

½ pound ground beef, browned

1 28 oz can diced tomatoes

1 can browned beans

1 can mixed beans, rinsed

1 medium onion, chopped

2 tablespoons chili powder

2 tablespoons smoked paprika

1 tablespoon cumin

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 chipotle chili in adobe sauce

Place all ingredients in a slow cooker. Cook on high for four hours or on low for six to eight hours. Serve with grated cheddar, sour cream, green onions, sliced jalapenos, rice, pasta or homemade bread.
