A Winnipeg city councillor is jumping into federal politics.
Jeff Browaty is officially seeking the federal Conservative nomination for Kildonan-St. Paul.
The riding’s current MP Joy Smith has announced she’s not running again.
Browaty was first elected to city hall in 2006.
He remains a councillor, pending the outcome of the nomination race.
