A man and his current girlfriend were sent to the hospital in critical condition Friday evening, after being stabbed by his former girlfriend.

The 38-year-old ex-girlfriend entered a suite located in the 400 block of Kennedy Street around 6:20 p.m.

Police said she made contact with her former boyfriend, a 55-year-old man, and his current girlfriend, a 32-year-old woman.

They said the ex-girlfriend and the man began arguing and then she pulled a knife from inside the suite and began stabbing him.

The ex-girlfriend then stabbed the current girlfriend multiple times. Police said the suspect then fled the scene.

Police said that at around 9:30 p.m. they located and arrested the suspect in the area of the 600 block of Spence Street.

Marilyn Eleanor Edwards, 38, has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon.

Both victims are now in stable condition.
