One man is dead following a single-vehicle crash Monday evening in the RM of Brokenhead.
Beausejour RCMP said two men were travelling northbound on Highway 12, about 5 km south of Provincial Road 215, around 7:45 p.m. Sept. 15, when their vehicle left the road.
RCMP said the vehicle entered the ditch and collided with a hydro pole.
The 42-year-old driver from the RM of Brokenhead was pronounced dead in hospital.
The 44-year-old passenger from Winnipeg was treated at hospital and released.
The driver wasn’t wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision, but RCMP said the passenger was wearing one.
Alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in the crash, said RCMP.
Police continue to investigate the cause of the collision.
