Emergency crews took one man to hospital after he was stabbed at a crowded Canada Day celebration.

It happened at the skate park at The Forks around 8:30 p.m. where thousands of people were spending their evenings.

Police say a male youth was stabbed in the upper body.

They wouldn't comment on what weapon was used.

At 10:30 p.m., police said witnesses and one male suspect were undergoing questioning.
