Winnipeg police have identified the cyclist who died after a collision at Main Street and Logan on Wednesday. Police are not releasing the woman's name.

Witnesses say a woman was riding a bike south on Main Street. Police confirm the rider was struck by a semi-trailer crossing Main at Logan just before 6 p.m.

The victim was taken to hospital in critical condition and has since died.

Police said the woman, who appears to be in her late-20s or early 30s, had no identification with her. She’s described as having a thin build and medium-length dark hair.

Police also said the victim has distinctive tattoos on her left arm.

She was riding a Barletta ATB 12 with white with grey writing.

Police said they have identified the driver of the semi-trailer, who is co-operating with the investigation. No charges have been laid at this time.
