A Wednesday afternoon warehouse fire caused an estimated $150,000 damage, said officials.

Emergency crews were called to the building at 250 Sutherland Avenue around 9 a.m., just north of the CP Rail yards.

The building was well involved when the call came in, and upon arrival crews discovered a large area of the building and loading dock area engulfed in flames, said a city spokeswoman.

Police closed parts of Sutherland Avenue so fire fighters could work to put out the blaze. It was under control by 11:30 a.m., but fire crews remained on scene for most of the afternoon to clean up, said the spokeswoman.

There were no injuries and the fire’s cause is under investigation, she said.
