Death of Stony Mountain inmate treated as homicide case

RCMP confirmed the death of an inmate at Stony Mountain prison is considered a homicide case and officers have made an arrest.

Stonewall RCMP responded around 7:30 p.m. on Aug. 24.

A 33-year-old man was found dead in a room.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested. Charges are expected, but have not yet been laid, said police on the morning of Aug. 26.
