Dive unit back on the Red River continuing search

In the early hours of June 30, officers were called to the riverbank to investigate suspicious circumstances.

The dive unit was deployed to the area of the 100 block of Burrows Avenue to search the Red River.

Police said someone was fishing and retrieved a quantity of what appears to be human hair. The

Police said they have limited information at this time as the investigation is ongoing.

Constable Jason Michalyshen said the dive unit had spent most of Tuesday afternoon searching the water and that they will be back on the water on Thursday.
