Two passengers were sent to hospital after a Sunday morning collision on Bishop Grandin. The driver now faces charges.

The collision happened at 3:20 a.m. on Aug. 30 and left one man in critical condition and another in unstable.

"It was learned that the vehicle had been eastbound on Bishop Grandin when, for reasons unknown, it veered off the road and collided with a light standard and then rolled several times," said police. "Witnesses in the area observed a male walking away from collision."

Around 4 p.m. Sunday, police arrested a suspect at a residence.

Derron Orlando Brown, 29, of Winnipeg faces charges for two counts of failing to stop at the scene of an accident causing bodily harm, said police.
