Fire officials are investigating an early-morning fire in the North End that sent one man to hospital.
The blaze broke out in a basement apartment suite on Machray Avenue around 12:30 a.m. Thursday, said officials.
A 59-year-old man was sent to hospital with undetermined injuries, but police said they were likely not serious.
The building was evacuated but residents were eventually allowed to go back in, said police.
Fire officials said the blaze caused $12,000 in damage.
