A former Winnipeg TV news anchor is joining the Manitoba Liberal team.
Peter Chura is running for the Liberals in the south Winnipeg riding of Seine River.
Until very recently, Chura anchored the 6:00 p.m. news for Global TV in Winnipeg.
The announcement comes on the same day NDP MLA Theresa Oswald announced she will not seek re- election for that seat.
The provincial Conservative candidate in Seine River is Janice Morley-Lecomte.
