Although extreme cold weather warnings have ended for much of the province, they will return later in the evning and into the weekend.
On Friday, Environment Canada issued warnings for the majority of province as wind chill values were expected to dip below -45 C in some areas.
Environment Canada said an arctic ridge of high pressure is building into the prairies, bringing very cold air south.

Wind chill values are still expected to remain strong and fluctuate as temperatures rise throughout the day.
As the air mass persists, extreme wind chills will likely return Friday night through Saturday morning.
Environment Canada advises people to dress warmly in cold weather conditions.
Outdoor workers, those living in poorly insulated homes, homeless individuals, seniors, infants and outdoor enthusiasts, are among the individuals at greater risk of frostbite and hypothermia.
People are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing for the weather.
Environment Canada suggests dressing in layers with a wind resistant outer layer to allow for removal or addition of layers depending on personal preference. Synthetic and wool fabrics are among the suggested fabrics to wear, as they provide better insulation.
