The family of the Winnipeg woman who almost died in a four-vehicle collision on the Trans-Canada highway is looking for support.

Angie Strike was the lone driver of the car that was rear-ended by a truck travelling at a high speed on June 26.

Her husband, Jon, was driving in the SUV in front of her with their three children.

Both of their vehicles caught on fire.

The injured husband tried to pull his wife out of the burning car.

Angie is suffering from third degree burns all over her body and is currently in an induced coma at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg.

The family said it is going to take time before the Strikes get back to work and provide for their family.

Angie has already undergone several surgeries to help her recover.

The family said Jon is an independent mechanic and will not be compensated for his time away.

The children’s toys and summer clothing were destroyed in the fire.

A gofundme page has been set up to help the children have as normal a summer as possible.

They have already raised over $15,000.
