Fire crews were still on scene Monday morning battling a grass fire that broke out Sunday afternoon in Charleswood.

Officials said Monday morning the fire is under control, but four trucks were still at the scene as of 7:30 a.m. They said about 100 acres of pasture and wooded area is affected.

Fire officials said the blaze started just after 3:30 p.m. near Loudoun Road. Eight trucks were dispatched to help battle the blaze.

At least one home had to be evacuated as the fire approached.
