Police executed two warrants and arrested five people in connection with a cocaine trafficking ring on Saturday night.
Police say they executed the first warrant around 10:50 p.m. at a suite in the 400 block of Edison Ave. Officers found $5,600 worth of cocaine, $30,000 in cash, and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia. Police arrested two men and two women, all in their early twenties.
The second warrant was executed at 11:30 p.m. at a home in the 500 block of Bannerman Ave. Police discovered 11 grams of marijuana, brass knuckles, bear spray, a baton, and $2,000. Police also arrested a 25-year-old man.
All five individuals face drug or weapon-related offences. Police say they have already been released on a promise to appear in court.
