Flu vaccine shipments for doctor's offices and pharmacies have been slowed this year.

Manitoba Health says a manufacturers' delay has caused the problem.

The department also says demand for the flu vaccine is up this year.

Officials say the vaccines are continuing to arrive in Manitoba and orders should be completed within a few weeks.

The province says shipments are prioritized based on locations with high-risk populations and the date orders were placed.

Free flu vaccine clinics are running right now throughout the city. The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority says there are no reports of vaccine shortages at the free clinics.
