Emergency crews converged on a St. Boniface intersection after a semi and pick-up truck collided Wednesday afternoon.

Winnipeg police said the incident took place around 2:00 p.m. at the intersection of Goulet Street and Tache Avenue.

Police said four people were transported to hospital; two in unstable condition.

A platoon safety officer on scene told CTV included among the injured were two occupants of the pick-up truck whose conditions remain unknown.

While at the scene, CTV cameras saw firefighters consoling a child on a stretcher with a teddy bear.

The intersection remained closed for several hours.
