Dropping temperatures around Winnipeg Sunday afternoon made for slippery roads and sidewalks.

Glen Muzyka went out for a coffee this afternoon with his bike - and in a short time felt the change on the pavement.

"On the way coming back, I slipped and fell with my bike," said Muzyka

People downtown and on route to the Winnipeg Jets game were taking baby steps avoiding falls.

Slippery roads also became a concern for drivers. Many drivers had some scraping to do before they could get on the road.

Police say there have been a few crashes, likely as a result of the ice that's been forming.

Environment Canada says people can expect freezing drizzle, snow and slippery to conditions to continue into the evening. They suggest people check condition for possible future warnings later on.
