Gamers united around the table for an evening of fun – face to face.

Dozens played in the free drop-in board game night held at Grant Memorial Church on Wilkes Avenue Saturday.

"I used to be addicted to online video games and spent a lot of time playing World of Warcraft, like three days straights without sleeping or eating," said event organizer, Daniel Good.

The group tries to meet once a month as a way to bring gamers together, away from their screens, to better socialize.

"I figured board games were close enough to online video games, and it will attract some of those guys,” said Good.

“And it’s interesting to play board games that are strategy based, role playing, anything out there,” he said.

The next game night will be Saturday, March 28.
