Many stations around Winnipeg lowered their prices further on Friday, dropping them down to 86.9 cents per litre.
On Thursday, the national average across Canada fell to below $1 per litre, a level not seen since 2010.
Statistics Canada said the plunging prices helped lower the inflation last month.
