Families will have the opportunity to dig into their past with the world’s top experts Saturday.

The East European Genealogical Society is putting on the one-day seminar for those with roots in Eastern Europe.

Organizers said there are some difficulties tracing European heritage specifically. Europe’s turbulent history, diverse geography and language are a few of the reasons.

The experts come from a variety of backgrounds including language, translations and archiving. People will have the opportunity to ask the experts questions in a discussion panel.

The seminar is at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and runs until 8:30 p.m. For more details head to the group’s Facebook page.
