The Winnipeg Goldeyes mixed and mingled with fans to celebrate their American Association title win this weekend.

Friday night the team came out on top against the Wichita Wingnuts, beating them handily 8-3. The team swept both the semi-final series and the final, with six wins in a row.

Sunday night the team celebrated its first league title since 1994. The win was also the last time any professional sports team in Manitoba was able to take a league title until now.

The win marks the franchise’s second championship win, and the Goldeyes celebrated that victory with their fans.

The team and the American Association trophy were presented on field at the ball park and fans had a chance to talk to players.
