Ladies and gentlemen, the queen has arrived.

A portrait of the queen that was a longtime fixture at the old Winnipeg arena is now back home.

The giant portrait was purchased by CN executives Jamie Boychuk and Michael Cory.

The 5x7 metre painting was shipped by CN rail boxcar this week.

It hung from the rafters in the old arena for 20 years.

Boychuk says it's exciting to have this piece of Winnipeg sports history back where it belongs.

Boychuk has yet to release details on where the portrait would be put on display.
