Police issued a public advisory Friday about the release of Winston George Thomas from Headingley jail on March 20.

“Females of all ages are at risk of sexual violence,” said the Manitoba Integrated High Risk Sex Offender Unit in a release.

Thomas, 36, did participate in some sex offender treatment programs while in jail, but is still considered at high risk to reoffend, said police.

He is subject a number of probation conditions until Sept. 20, 2015, including being banned from possessing or consuming alcohol or drugs and he must abide by a curfew from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., unless an exception is provided in writing by his probation officer.

Police said vigilante action against Thomas will not be tolerated.
