Highway 1 West from Virden to the Saskatchewan border has re-opened since it was closed by RCMP on Saturday.

Dozens of highways and roads were closed due winter driving conditions. Blowing snow, slippery and ice covered sections were reported throughout Saturday. RCMP said cars were ending up stuck and in the ditch.

The St. Lazare area received more than 30 cms of snow. Environment Canada said some areas in the province could get up to 50 cms of snow.
