Winnipeg police and emergency crews responded around 8 a.m. Wednesday to check on the well-being of a person in the 400 block of King Street.
A body was located, and Winnipeg Police have now identified the victim as 23-year-old Jamie Cook from Winnipeg.
The homicide unit is now investigating how the man was killed.
An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause of death.
