Police confirmed two people were found dead inside a home in the 4300 block of Roblin Boulevard Friday morning, shortly before 8:30 a.m.

People who arrived at the scene on Friday morning spoke with police and were seen in tears, with one man falling to the ground.

Officers would only say Friday afternoon that it is being treated as a suspicious circumstance.

Members of the homicide and forensic units were on scene. Detectives were interviewing several people.

Neighbour Daryl Kennedy said the residence had been quiet since around 9 p.m. Thursday evening. He said he noticed his neighbours in the yard earlier in the evening.

“There were a couple cars in the driveway, music was on and no one was (out) there. Then, they were in the backyard and we left and when we came back they were gone too,” said Kennedy.

A family member tells CTV News, a woman in her late 30's originally from Grenada lived there alone after she and her ex-boyfriend broke up last summer and he moved out.

The relative says a longtime family friend from the States was recently staying with her, but they were not romantically involved.

Police said Friday afternoon that positive identification of the deceased had not yet been made and family notifications are still pending.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to call investigators at 204-986-6508.
