RCMP have identified a man who died Sunday evening as 27-year-old Jarod Daniel Jensen of the RM of St. Andrews, Manitoba. He was found badly injured in a Thompson home on Dec. 30 and later died in hospital.
An autopsy was conducted in Winnipeg on Dec. 31, however the cause of Jensen’s death was not determined. The chief medical examiner's office is still investigating.
On Dec. 30, 25-year-old Shane Corson Braun of Thompson was arrested in connection with the death and on Dec. 31 he was charged with second-degree murder, said RCMP. He remains in custody and will make a court appearance in Thompson on Jan. 3, 2013.
RCMP say the accused and the victim knew each other.
