The Manitoba Office of the Fire Commissioner is investigating a blaze at The Forks, with arson being examined as a possible cause.

The blaze appeared to be located in a storage area in a parking lot directly behind Union Station, across from the site of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights.

Officials said four warming huts, used on the ice in the winter, were damaged with one of those being likely burned beyond repair.

Fire crews rushed to the scene around 8 a.m., and quickly got the blaze under control.
