Officers have released the description of a suspect wanted in connection with a residential break-in. Police said a 74-year-old resident was injured during the incident on July 27 in Winnipeg.

Police were called to the 400 block of Stella Avenue shortly before 2 a.m. on Friday.

A 74-year-old resident had woken up to find an unknown man and woman in his residence.

Police said the victim was robbed of personal property and suffered a minor injury.

The suspects then fled the residence.

The male suspect is described as aboriginal in appearance, with shoulder length hair, approximately six feet in height (183 centimetres), weighing 160 to 180 pounds (72 kilograms to 81 kilograms) and wearing dark clothing.

The female suspect is described as aboriginal in appearance.
