Winnipeg's New Year's baby has arrived. Desiree and Matthew and big brother Dallas welcomed baby Hudson into the world at 12:40 a.m. on the first day of the year.
He was born at St. Boniface Hospital and weighed in at seven pounds eight ounces. Matthew says his wife's water broke at around 5:15 last night and she delivered Hudson via caesarean section. He says it was well-timed, but Hudson had some serious competition in the New Year's baby race – another baby was born one minute later at 12:41 a.m.
The Girardins say the number one must run in the family -- big brother Dallas was born last year on September 1st, making the siblings exactly 16 months apart.
