Last day for rain before heat wave returns in southern Manitoba

Sunday started off living up to its name with bright blue skies and almost no clouds over Winnipeg.

There’s a chance of some showers in Winnipeg on Sunday, but those are the last clouds we’re likely to see between now and the weekend.

The same is largely true for the rest of southern and central Manitoba.

Temperatures will rise to heat wave levels again this week and stay there. Temperatures will approach the 30 Celsius mark by the weekend in Winnipeg.

Farther north, there’s a chance of some rain later in the week around Thursday and Friday in communities like Thompson, Flin Flon, The Pas, Lynn Lake, and Gillam.
