Owne said power has been restored to most areas. The outages in River Heights, Tuxedo and Polo Park happend Monday afternoon after strong winds knocked down lines, and crews were still out trying to restore power as of 6:30 p.m.
He estimated power would be restored within two hours. He also urged people to report power outages in their neighbourhoods.
“As people come home from their weekend, they might not have power in their home, because a tree might have gone dwon in their neighbourhood, and we need them to report it,” he said.
